Assembled Jeep Seized in Kottawa; One Arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st); A jeep, illegally assembled in the country using smuggled spare parts, has been taken into police custody.

The vehicle was seized during a raid conducted in the Kottawa area.

Police stated that a suspect was also arrested for driving the jeep without a valid revenue license, insurance certificate, or emission report, as well as for forging documents.

The arrested suspect is a 39-year-old resident of Vitharandeniya.
