Large Stock of Seized Drugs to Be Incinerated in Wanathavilluwa

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police Headquarters says that a stock of narcotics, for which legal proceedings have been completed, will be destroyed today (27th).

Police said the drugs, seized by the Police Narcotics Bureau and for which proceedings at the Negombo Magistrate’s Court have been concluded, as well as those ordered to be destroyed by various courts islandwide following completion of Government Analyst’s reports, will be incinerated at the Lactowatte incinerator in Wanathawilluwa, Puttalam.

Accordingly, 13 kilograms and 22 grams of ICE, 2 kilograms and 30 grams of cocaine, 39 kilograms and 710 grams of kush, 156 grams of heroin, 4 kilograms and 136 grams of cannabis and hashish, 1 kilogram and 200 grams of MDMA , and 26,262 narcotic pills will be destroyed today.
