Badulla–Nanu Oya Train Services Resume Today

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development Bimal Rathnayake said that train operations from Badulla to Nanu Oya will resume today.

Due to damages caused by Cyclone Ditwah, train services on this route were previously limited to the section between Badulla and Ambewela.

Accordingly,from today, four train trips will operate daily between Badulla and Nanu Oya.

Minister Bimal Rathnayake added that plans are in place to complete the renovation work on the railway line from Rambukkana to Kandy within this year.
