Trump Threatens 50% Tariffs on Any Country Supplying Weapons to Iran

COLOMBO (News 1st); US President Donald J. Trump has announced that any country supplying military weapons to Iran will face immediate trade penalties from the United States.

In a post published on his official Truth Social account on April 8, Trump said that such countries would be subjected to a 50 percent tariff on all goods sold to the United States, with no exclusions or exemptions.

“A country supplying military weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed, on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately. There will be no exclusions or exemptions,” Trump wrote, signing off the message as “President DJT.”
