Grade 5 Scholarship Exam Marking Begins Today (11)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Examinations has announced that preliminary evaluations for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination will commence today (11), following the successful completion of the exam yesterday.

According to Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Liyanage, the exam was conducted across 2,787 centers nationwide, with 379,951 students qualifying to sit for the test.

All preparatory meetings and guidelines have been finalized, and the marking process will take place from August 22 to 27 at 43 designated centers.

The department aims to release the results by September 20.

Meanwhile, the deadline for applications for the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination is set to close at midnight tomorrow. 

The department has facilitated an online application process, allowing students to submit their forms digitally.

The A/L examination is scheduled to be held from November 10 to December 5, according to the Department of Examinations.
