Ministry of Foreign Affairs Plans Special Repatriation Mechanism for Sri Lankans in Middle East Amid Potential Risks

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that a special mechanism has been planned to repatriate Sri Lankans staying in the Middle East region, should a high-risk situation arise in the region in the future.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has intervened to establish a joint mechanism in collaboration with all Sri Lankan embassies located in the Middle East and Gulf regions.

It was announced that all embassies and the Bureau of Foreign Employment are prepared to provide a rapid response in case of an emergency and to ensure the safety of Sri Lankan workers.
