COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has decided to construct a pipeline to transport fuel from the Trincomalee Port to the oil tank terminal located in China Bay.
Its Managing Director, Dr. Mayura Netthikumara, noted that it is being built to minimize the time taken to storage fuel.
The Managing Director stated that the pipeline will be constructed using funds from the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
Its length is approximately 3 kilometers.
Plans are in place to call for tenders related to the construction within the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has commenced the process of obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management certification.
Accordingly, it is mentioned that a quality management system has already been implemented.
The CPC aims to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through this system.
The objective of this strategic process is to ensure the standardization of processes, improvement of service delivery, and the incorporation of international practices into the corporation's daily operations.
