Father of Drug Trafficker Shiran Basik Arrested Over Unaccounted Rs. 30M Property

COLOMBO (News 1st): Abdul Razak Mohammad Basik, the father of prominent drug trafficker Shiran Basik who is currently in custody, was arrested this afternoon.

The suspect was taken into custody by the Illegal Assets Investigation Division of the Central Crime Investigation Bureau when he arrived to record a statement.

He had been summoned to record a statement regarding the purchase of a house worth 30 million rupees from an apartment complex in Gampaha.

Police stated that he was called in to obtain information regarding how the funds were acquired to purchase the house.
