National Vesak Week Commences Today

COLOMBO (News 1st): National Vesak Week commences today.

This year's theme is "Let us rally quickly for the common good."

The Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs, R.M.G. Senaratne, noted that the National Vesak Festival will be held this afternoon at the Midellawala Purana Viharaya in Thihagoda, Matara, with the participation of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

The Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs requests the public to align themselves with virtuous practices and prioritize religious observances (Prathipaththi Pooja) during the Vesak season.
