Legal Action Against Nearly 400 Traders During New Year Season

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Legal action has been initiated against nearly 400 traders following island-wide raids conducted during the New Year season.

These measures were taken during a series of raids carried out by the Public Health Inspectors' (PHI) Association of Sri Lanka from April 1st to April 12th.

According to the Association, nearly 2,000 raids were conducted during this period and a total of 12,000 shops and commercial establishments were inspected.

The Public Health Inspectors' Association stated that these inspections and raids will continue throughout the festive season to ensure public safety.
