COLOMBO (News 1st): A suspect has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport with 11 kilograms and 340 grams of Kush.
Airport Customs stated that the suspect arrived in the island from New Delhi, India.
The consignment of drugs was brought in by concealing them within 12 chocolate packets placed inside a false bottom of a travel bag.
According to Airport Customs, the chocolates had been removed from their original packaging and replaced with Kush.
The value of the seized drugs is estimated at 113.4 million rupees.
The 45-year-old suspect is a resident of Kompanna Veediya.
The suspect and the stock of drugs are to be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigation.
