Family Feud Ends in Death in Minneriya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police report that a 70-year-old man from the Galoya Junction in Rotawewa has died following an attack inside a house in Rotawewa, Minneriya.

Authorities said the man had gone to investigate after learning that his sister, who lives in a neighboring house, was being attacked. 

Police said the death resulted from a blunt impact with a pole by the sister’s son.

The sister also sustained injuries and has been admitted to Hingurakgoda Hospital for treatment. 

Police have confirmed that the suspect, the sister’s son, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
