Six Arrested Over Brutal Killing in Orugodawatta

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Six suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of a person using sharp weapons at a house in Orugodawatta.

The arrests were made yesterday during a raid in Shanthipuram and Mahadiwulwewa areas of Morawewa, following information received by the Organized Crime Control Unit of the Special Task Force (STF).

The Suspects arrested included five individuals directly involved in the murder and one suspect who allegedly provided shelter to the suspects.

The suspect arrested were identified as residents of Wellampitiya and Kovilwatta, aged 21, 23, 25, 27, and 33.

The homicide took place on the 27th of last month.
