Gotabaya's Ex-Secretary Remanded Again

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Personal Secretary to ex-President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Sugeeshwara Bandara, was today ordered to be further remanded until September 23 by Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena.
He had been arrested by the Central Crimes Investigation Bureau in connection with an investigation into the alleged receipt of salary payments for two positions under the Presidential Expenditure Head.
The court ordered that he be further remanded after determining that no exceptional circumstances had been presented to justify the granting of bail.
