PM Harini Meets Bhutanese PM For Talks On Education, Trade, Tourism

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya met with Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay in Thimphu on September 1 on the sidelines of the Global Conscious Food Systems Summit, where the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across a range of sectors.

The meeting focused on enhancing the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Bhutan while exploring opportunities for closer collaboration in education, healthcare, trade, tourism, air connectivity and people-to-people exchanges.

Prime Minister Amarasuriya and Prime Minister Tobgay also exchanged views on a number of shared priorities, including sustainable development, good governance, climate action and environmental protection.
