COLOMBO (News 1st) - According to Sri Lanka Railways, train services between Badulla and Nanu Oya will resume from tomorrow, following the completion of reconstruction work on the Nanu Oya–Ambewela railway line, which was damaged by Cyclone Ditwah.
Until now, trains on the route operated only between Badulla and Ambewela.
Accordingly, four trains will run daily on the Badulla–Nanu Oya section.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Tourism Ruwan Ranasinghe says the resumption of services will also enable the stranded train at Nanu Oya to return to operation.
