President Urges All Ministries To Ensure Sustainable Fuel Use

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that all ministries must implement a practical plan to ensure fuel conservation.

The President made these remarks during a meeting held this morning at the Presidential Secretariat with the committee appointed to oversee the distribution of essential goods.

He emphasized that such plans should be data-driven and designed to ensure sustainable processes with minimal energy consumption.

President Dissanayake has instructed ministries to submit a prompt report on these measures.

The committee was appointed to ensure the continuous operation of both state and private supply chains involved in the distribution of essential goods, and to guarantee that the public receives goods at fair prices without shortages.

Meanwhile, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to attend a special media briefing at 7.30 pm today.
