Navy Seize 123 Packets of Heroin in Deep-Sea Raid South of Dondra

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Navy has taken into custody 123 packets of heroin found aboard a vessel that was intercepted in the deep seas south of Dondra and brought to the Dikowita Harbor.

According to the Navy, the process of weighing the total quantity of heroin contained in the packets is currently underway.

Yesterday, the Navy arrested five suspects along with a multi-day fishing trawler on suspicion of transporting narcotics.

The arrests were made during a special operation conducted in the deep sea areas south of Dondra.
