Electricity Unions Continues Strikes Amid Ongoing Negotiations

COLOMBO (News 1st): Electricity unions state that they are continuing their strike action.

This is despite authorities having provided solutions for 62 out of their 64 demands.

During the discussions held yesterday, it was agreed to grant a meeting with the President within the next two days to discuss the remaining demands.

Several unions, including electrical engineers and electrical superintendents, are participating in the strike.

Due to their withdrawal from breakdown and maintenance duties, people in certain areas have been inconvenienced.
